This is a video review of Funded Profit published by the Gecko Trading Club channel on July 29, 2025. In about 13 minutes, the video analyzes two of Funded Profit's account types, the one-step challenge and the instant funding account, and goes over the pros and cons of each. Below you'll find the video and, after it, our own explanation of how each account works and which rules apply, so you can check what you watch against the official details.
In short: Gecko Trading Club published an independent analysis of Funded Profit focused on the 1-Phase Challenge and Direct Access. This post includes the video plus the real rules of both simulated accounts, so you can compare calmly before choosing.
What the video covers
According to the channel's own description, in this video Gecko Trading Club analyzes Funded Profit from two angles: the one-step account and the instant funding account, with the upsides and downsides of each.
It's a useful format if you're comparing options, because it focuses on the decision that matters most at the start: would you rather pass an evaluation, or start straight away in an account with tighter rules? The conclusions and opinions in the video belong to the creator; what follows is Funded Profit's official information on the same topics.
The 1-Phase Challenge, explained
The 1-Phase Challenge is an evaluation on a simulated trading account. To pass it, you need to reach the target while respecting the loss limits:
- Profit target: 9%.
- Daily loss limit: 4%.
- Maximum loss: 6%, static (calculated from the starting balance, it doesn't move).
- Minimum trading days: 5.
- Time limit: none.
- Leverage: 1:100.
Available sizes are $15K ($89), $30K ($179), $60K ($249), $100K ($499) and $200K ($899). Having no time limit matters: you can trade at your own pace, without the pressure of hitting the target by a set date. For a step-by-step method, read our guide on how to pass the 1-Phase Challenge.
Direct Access (instant funding), explained
Direct Access is the no-challenge option: there's no profit target to reach before entering the reward stage. In exchange, the limits are tighter:
- Target: none.
- Daily loss limit: 3%.
- Maximum loss: 5%, static.
- Minimum trading days: 8.
- Leverage: 1:100.
Sizes are $5K ($69), $10K ($129), $25K ($249), $50K ($379) and $100K ($629).
Quick comparison of both accounts
| Rule | 1-Phase Challenge | Direct Access |
|---|---|---|
| Target | 9% | No target |
| Daily loss | 4% | 3% |
| Maximum loss (static) | 6% | 5% |
| Minimum days | 5 | 8 |
| Leverage | 1:100 | 1:100 |
The logic is simple: the challenge asks you to prove a result but gives you more room for losses; Direct Access skips the evaluation but demands tighter risk control from day one. We go deeper in Challenge vs. Direct Access.
Common rules worth knowing
Whichever account you choose, these rules apply across all programs:
- Minimum trade duration: 3 minutes.
- Maximum risk per trade: 2.5% of the account.
- Consistency: no single day can exceed 40% of total profit on accounts under $30K, or 30% from $30K up.
- Maximum 2 IPs, and accounts close after 30 days of inactivity.
- News and weekend trading: allowed.
- Trading day: 20:00 to 20:00 (UTC-4).
- Platform: cTrader.
For rewards, the split is 80% (100% with an add-on), payouts can be requested every 14 days (weekly with an add-on), the minimum is $50 and payment is made in crypto. You'll find every detail in the rules section.
An independent opinion
Gecko Trading Club's video is the opinion of an independent creator: Funded Profit didn't produce or edit it. We suggest watching it as one more perspective and checking it against the official rules, which are the ones that apply to your account.
Keep in mind that trading involves risk. No account, simulated or live, ensures an outcome; what does depend on you is choosing the program that fits how you trade and managing risk well on every trade.
FAQ
Did Funded Profit sponsor this video?
No. It's an analysis by an independent creator. The opinions in it belong to the channel, not to Funded Profit.
What's the difference between the 1-Phase Challenge and Direct Access?
The challenge has a 9% target with loss limits of 4% daily and 6% maximum. Direct Access has no target, but its limits are 3% daily and 5% maximum, with 8 minimum trading days.
Are Funded Profit accounts real?
They are simulated trading accounts. The trader operates in a simulated environment and, by following the rules, can receive rewards according to their program's split.
Is there a time limit on the 1-Phase Challenge?
No. You can take as long as you need, as long as you trade at least 5 days and don't leave the account inactive for more than 30 days.
