This is a Funded Profit setup guide on video, published by Gabriel Parra on January 30, 2026. In about 15 minutes, the video explains step by step how to set up a Funded Profit account: what to touch, what to leave alone and which parameters to check before trading. Here's the video and, below it, our own checklist with the official data, so you can start with everything in order.
In short: Gabriel Parra published a guide to setting up a Funded Profit account. After the video you'll find which parameters to check on your simulated account, which rules matter from day one and which site tools help you prepare each trade.
What the video covers
In this video, Gabriel Parra walks through setting up a Funded Profit account step by step. It focuses on three practical questions: which settings to change, which to leave as they are and which parameters to review so there are no surprises.
The tips and opinions in the video belong to the creator. Below, we explain from Funded Profit's side which details of your account are worth having clear before you open your first trade.
Before trading: check your account parameters
Each program has its own limits. First of all, confirm which one you're working with:
| Parameter | 1-Phase Challenge | Direct Access |
|---|---|---|
| Target | 9% | No target |
| Daily loss | 4% | 3% |
| Maximum loss (static) | 6% | 5% |
| Minimum days | 5 | 8 |
| Leverage | 1:100 | 1:100 |
An example in numbers: on a $10,000 Direct Access simulated account, the 3% daily limit equals $300 and the 5% maximum equals $500, both measured from the starting balance. It's only an illustration, not a result. You can run this calculation for your own account with the loss limits calculator.
The clock that matters: the trading day
At Funded Profit, the trading day runs from 20:00 to 20:00 (UTC-4). That's the clock used for the daily loss limit and for counting minimum days. If you trade from another time zone, convert that time to your local time from the start. The trading day calculator helps you do it.
What not to touch: rules that always apply
Beyond platform settings, some rules never change and are worth keeping in mind as you prepare each trade:
- Maximum risk per trade: 2.5% of the account.
- Minimum trade duration: 3 minutes.
- Maximum 2 IPs: avoid connecting from many different networks or devices.
- Inactivity: the account closes after 30 days without trading.
- Consistency: no single day can exceed 40% of total profit on accounts under $30K, or 30% from $30K up.
If you use automated tools, review the EAs section first. And to respect the per-trade risk without doing the math by hand, use the lot size calculator.
The platform: cTrader
Every Funded Profit account trades on cTrader. If it's your first time on this platform, our cTrader beginner's guide covers the basics: order types, how to place a stop loss and how to read your history.
The Academy Hub (Skool) is also included free with your account, in case you want to sharpen your method before starting.
About this video
Gabriel Parra is a Funded Profit affiliate partner: he earns a commission on accounts bought through his link. Even so, Funded Profit didn't produce or review it. If any step in the video doesn't match what you see in your account, the valid reference is always the official rules, which may be updated over time.
Remember that trading involves risk: a good setup doesn't ensure results, but it does help you trade with clarity and avoid avoidable mistakes.
